Many years ago my colleague literally recruited me to come along and take the visual responsible of this magazine.
I'm not very militant person myself but as most of the men in this country I have gone through the compulsory military training so the subject was not entirely foreign to me.
The magazine is done in collaboration with Finnish Navy and the reserves of this served in either naval or coastal defense.
I'm still not very militant by nature but over the years I've learned to  respect the dedication and spirit of all the women and men both in service and voluntary work.
And from the Art Directors point of view I have received the most praise and respect than on any other job I've done.
My approach in this is exceptionally bare, simplistic and even delicate because of the subject matter. That rather than tough and hard, I thought!
