A.I. Everybody's talking about it. And as a local guru in the matter, Immo Salo, said in his presentation where I was lucky to be invited to: "It is going to be part of out future whether we like it or not", hence the analogy to a train ride.
Professionally my main focus has always been on design. With time I've expanded my knowledge from layouts to photography, video editing, animation and to some extent to illustrating.
After Immo Salo's lecture I immediately started to study Chat GPT, but quickly realized that it's greatest advantages (at least at the moment from my perspective) lie on the corporate communication. And since I'm a lone entrepreneur, mostly with trusted longtime customers have very little use for such content.
But A.I. generated images are a whole different matter! I've been fortunate enough to have completed a couple of jobs where I've been able to learn that in fact, whether it's Midjourney, Dall-E or Firefly or some other A.I. they're still a tool. The quality result depends nearly entirely on the amount of effort you put into it as with any other tool.
Below You can see two examples that depict both the awesome possibilities of A.I. images and the easy pitfalls that one needs to learn to deal with. Funnily enough, for me, it takes another A.I. to fix another one's mistakes!
